Engraving & Personalization
Make It Yours
Engraving turns a piece of jewelry into something that belongs to one person. Your initials, a date, a word that means something — cut into the metal and there permanently.
Jimmy offers engraving on signet rings in 14K gold, with six font styles to choose from depending on the look you want.
What Can Be Engraved
Signet rings are the primary engraving piece at Jimmy & Co. The flat top of the ring gives enough surface area to render initials or monograms clearly, in any of the available fonts. You can engrave one initial, two, or three — a traditional monogram order is first, last, middle, with the last name initial centered and larger.
Beyond monograms, single words or short phrases work well on wider bands. If you have something specific in mind, it's worth asking — Jimmy will tell you whether it fits and what it'll look like.
Six Font Styles
The available fonts fall into two groups. The Script & Decorative group includes options with flowing letterforms, serifs, and traditional flourishes — good for monograms that feel formal or heirloom-quality. The Classic & Modern group includes cleaner, more geometric styles that work better for single initials or contemporary pieces.
When you place your order, you'll be able to select your font and specify what you want engraved. If you're unsure which font fits the ring, reach out and Jimmy can walk you through the options with examples.
Two Rings Worth Knowing
The Diamond Halo Engravable Signet Ring in 14K Gold is a strong choice if you want something that reads as both personal and refined — the diamond halo frames the engraved face without competing with it.
The Floral Signet Ring in 14K Gold has more detail built into the band itself, which pairs well with simpler, single-initial engraving in a classic font.
Either way, the engraving is done in the studio, by hand, after the ring ships to you. Turnaround is typically included in the product timeline — check the individual product page for specifics.
