Repair, Resize, and Reimagine

Some pieces need fixing. A prong that's worn down, a chain that snapped, a stone that fell out years ago and has been sitting in a box ever since. Jimmy does that work — careful, honest repair on pieces that matter to you.

And sometimes a piece doesn't need fixing so much as rethinking. Jewelry that belonged to someone you loved, or a style that made sense fifteen years ago but doesn't anymore. That's a restyle, and it's one of the most meaningful things Jimmy does.

Repair Services

Common repairs include ring resizing, prong re-tipping, stone replacement, clasp repair, chain soldering, and general cleaning and inspection. If a piece is wearable and you want it to stay that way, bring it in.

Ring resizing is one of the most common requests. Most rings can be sized up or down within a few sizes without affecting the integrity of the design. If you've inherited a ring or your size has changed, this is usually a straightforward job.

Stone replacement depends on the stone. Some gems are easy to source in matching sizes. Others — especially older cuts or unusual varieties — take more time to find. Jimmy will tell you upfront what's realistic.

Restyle and Reimagine

A restyle is different from a repair. You're not fixing something broken — you're transforming something that no longer fits your life into something you'll actually wear.

This might mean melting down yellow gold and recasting it in white. It might mean taking stones out of an old setting and building a new piece around them. It might mean taking three separate pieces and turning them into one. The starting point doesn't have to be obvious — what matters is that the stones or metal you're working with carry meaning, and that the finished piece does too.
